HAWES & JENKINS
PLATINUM PACKAGE
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO PUBLISH YOUR BOOK
WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE PLATINUM PACKAGE?
Page Design
A graphic page designer will create a page layout unique to your book so that the text, images, and tables/charts display on the page in a precise format to skillfully communicate your message.
Cover Art
Based upon your feedback, our staff of graphic designers will create a full-color, custom cover design for your book. Since it is the very first, and sometimes only, thing many potential book purchasers will see, the cover design needs to quickly convince readers to buy your book. A professional cover design is key to making your book stand out on bookshelves. Sometimes, you can judge a book by its cover!
Conversion to Various Digital Formats
In addition to a print edition, your book will also be available as an eBook, available for digital reader devices like the Amazon Kindle, the Apple iPad and iPhone, and the Barnes & Noble Nook. We handle the complex process of converting and coding your book into the required digital formats of the leading eBook retailers.
Printed Editions of the Work
Having a sufficient number of your books on hand can be a vital tool in your marketing efforts. These copies can be offered for sale, used in a contest, or given to people who can expand your network. If you run out of these copies, you can always take advantage of the Author Discount Program to ensure you always have enough on hand!
Author Discount program
Our authors enjoy steep discounts based on the number of books being ordered. The discounts start at 40% off the cover price and increase to even more savings based on the number of books ordered. This will give you the freedom of offering books directly for sale, along with some wiggle room in your profit to run your own discounts, sales, and promotions.
ISBN
Every book is assigned an ISBN (International Standard Book Number), which is a unique number given to all books sold with a barcode in bookstores. Each version of your book is given a specific number that represents each format.
Digital Distribution
All Hawes & Jenkins books are made available in eBook format for distribution through Amazon (for the Kindle and Kindle Fire), Apple (for use on all iOS devices like iPhones and iPads), and Barnes & Noble (for use on Nook devices).
Print Distribution
Even the most spellbinding book has little chance of success if it is not made available to major retail book outlets in North America. For that reason, all Hawes & Jenkins books are distributed through the Ingram Content Network, the largest and most well-respected wholesaler of books in North America. Ingram has distribution agreements in place with nearly all retail stores in North America as well as Amazon, which means that your book may reap the benefits of those same distribution agreements.
Author Web Page
Hawes & Jenkins will create a custom web page featuring your cover art with links to retailers selling your book.
Full-Copy Edit
Every author thinks that their manuscript is free of errors and ready to print, but this is rarely the case. Even the writings of the most accomplished authors are replete with small errors. Thus, nothing can take the place of a professional edit of your work. Our editors study your manuscript to identify grammatical, typographical, and syntax errors. All suggested revisions require your consent before implementation.
Publicity and Press Release Distribution
Each author, and every new release, has a Press Release created and distributed. The goal is to spread news of your new book to as many outlets as possible, as quickly as possible. Your new book will be announced to thousands of media contacts, including newspapers, websites, and blogs, both local and national, via use of professional newswire services.
Creation of an Author YouTube Channel
We will establish a YouTube channel for your book marketing campaigns! The book’s Video Trailer and Podcast Interview will be posted to this YouTube channel. A corresponding Gmail account will also be created and linked to the YouTube channel, both of which will be transferred to you upon the completion of the marketing campaigns.
Promotional Video Trailer
This 30-second video production shall include high-resolution images of the book’s cover design, images related to the theme/story, and information as to the various outlets where the book is available for purchase. This promotional video trailer will be posted to your YouTube channel and web page.
Video Interview Via Zoom
A video interview will be conducted with the Author via a video conferencing service by an experienced book interviewer/journalist and will be edited to a finished length of three to five minutes. This pre-recorded, professionally edited video will be posted to your Author YouTube channel.
Podcast Interview on the ReaderHouse Author Roundtable
This interview, conducted by the ReaderHouse Author Roundtable host, will concentrate on your book and background. The podcast interview will be no less than three minutes in length and will be pre-recorded and professionally edited. It will be streamed to potential readers/customers through the ReaderHouse Author Roundtable show, which is available weekly through podcast services like Amazon, Apple, Stitcher, Spotify, Google, and equivalent podcast streaming services.

Pinterest Business Account

Facebook Social Media Launch Package
We will create and launch an author-specific Facebook social media kickoff campaign with initial graphics and posts. Creation of this kickoff campaign commences immediately after distribution of the press release, so that the campaign can maximize any obtained exposure. The campaign will consist of the establishment of a Facebook page containing your cover art and a direct link to the book’s web page and Instagram page. You will be able to monitor and respond to all interactions, and the campaign will be released and turned over to you after the final post.
Production Timeline Calendar
A customized calendar detailing the intended schedule for the audiobook production process. It includes the selection of the voice-over narrator, timeframe for recording sessions, expected completion dates for post-production editing, technical pre-upload quality checks, and eventual upload of the finished audiobook to vendor platforms.
Narration Talent Questionnaire
A comprehensive questionnaire that will assist with compiling a selection of voice-over narrators for the audiobook.
Compilation of Voice-over Narrator Selection
Based on the information provided in the questionnaire, we will select three preferred voice-over narrators so you may choose one.
Audio Clip Creation
We will produce a brief audition recording performed by your selected voice-over narrator. Upon approval, the project will proceed to the narration and production phases.
Production/Post-Production Editing
Once a voice-over narrator has been chosen, studio time will be booked for recording sessions of the audiobook.
Author Approval and Upload
When the finished audiobook files are approved, we will upload them to retail platforms.
