The Gypsy Journals
Eight days after the devastating loss of her mom from Alzheimer's disease, the author leaves her home in Wisconsin to embark on a five–month journey into the remote wilderness of the Arizona desert to get away, mourn, and heal. With no running water, electricity, or heat for almost 150 days, she experiences an up–close and personal connection with nature. In this time of solitude and quiet, she finds great joy in God's amazingly beautiful creation. Calling on her faith, she also finds connection, closeness, and healing through the beauty that surrounds her. She invites you to come along for the ride where she hopes to share some of the beauty of America as well as the beauty of God's love through her story.
