Protection of Praise

Joseph's coat was not just colorful and valuable due to the fabric and dye, nor was its worth based solely on the time and effort his parents put into making it and praying over it. Instead, the coat represents the seven types of worship: Zamar, Barak, Shabach, Tehilah, Todah, Yadah, and Halal. These forms of worship are reflected in Joseph's life and how he engaged in praise. Each color and life event illustrates one of these seven types of praise. Ultimately, it serves as a study in using praise as both a weapon and a shield.
